All ETA Transit routes, with the exception of Route 50, are Flag Stop Routes. At flag stops, passengers may board the bus at locations listed on map timetables or by flagging the buses at other locations along the route with adequate shoulder space for buses to safely pull off the road. For Route 50, passengers may only board at stops listed on map timetables for each respective route.
1
To “flag” a bus, stand at a safe location along the road where the driver can see you.
2
Wave to the approaching bus so the driver knows you wish to board. If it is safe to do so, the driver will stop to let you on.
3
To get off the bus at a flag stop, advise the driver in advance so he or she can determine a safe location to stop.
